He was a Managing Director in the Derivatives and Financial Products Group at Societe Generale, where he created and marketed tax-efficient structured financial products for use by the bank and advised proprietary traders on issues relating to derivatives, fixed income (taxable and tax-exempt) instruments, and other financial products. In addition to private practice as a tax lawyer in Washington, D.C., Mr. Mann served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Tax Division of the Department of Justice supervising all federal appellate tax litigation. He also served as General Counsel of the US Commission on Civil Rights. Mr. Mann graduated from Cornell University in 1979, Harvard Law School in 1982, and received an MBA from Columbia University in Accounting and Finance in 1992.
