Neff Of counsel to DL’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, Gregory Neff practices in all areas of Intellectual Property law, but focuses primarily on obtaining patents and trademark registrations and on litigation of patent, trademark and copyright cases. Mr. Neff has successfully handled patent infringement cases in business equipment and other industries, including cases involving industrial and financial software. He has obtained patents and conducted successful patent litigation that has resulted in the upholding of the validity and infringement of the industry-dominating patents in both the television post-production and photo-typesetting fields. In addition to obtaining trademark registrations, Mr. Neff has handled successful trademark litigation securing protection for many trademarks, including both famous and less famous marks. He has conducted successful trademark and unfair competition litigation under the Paris and Pan American Conventions, and has successfully defended companies against trademark infringement claims. Mr. Neff currently is counseling solar power, software, HVAC, homewares and agricultural chemicals and packaging companies, among others. He also has advised and counseled clients in connection with numerous mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Neff earned his JD from the University of Michigan Law School in 1961, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1958.
